When setting up a business or activity, the business formalities centre (CFE) is your contact for the first steps to be taken. It is the interface between the business creator and the authorities.
The CFE is responsible both for providing information on the regulations relating to the creation of a business and for centralising, formally checking and transmitting applications for authorisations for regulated activities requiring a specific procedure. It is to the CFE that the project owner must first contact in order to file his or her declaration of activity, make any changes and deregister.
The CFE of the CEM is also competent for formalities relating to commerce, crafts, agriculture and the real estate professions. All the formalities concerning a liberal profession are carried out on the URSSAF website.
